Smoke?

I developed Smoke? during my Ph.D. research in order to test differences between potential persuasive technology strategies as applied to individualist or collectivist audiences. To do this, I developed two versions of the same game, one targeted at New Zealand Europeans (classified as individualist) and one targeted at New Zealand Maori (classified as collectivist). In both cases, the game is a point-and-click adventure through the life of a young New Zealander attempting to quit smoking.

Labour of Loaf

I developed Labour of Loaf as an experiment in collaborative multi-touch interaction during my postdoctoral work at Carleton Unviersity in Ottawa, Canada. We were interested in examining how the ability to interact simultaneously with a game would affect a player's experience and behaviour. Labour of Loaf is a multi-player, collaborative sandwich-making game in which players collaborate to make sandwiches together as quickly as possible.

If you're interested in looking at Labour of Loaf, please contact me and I will send it to you (there are various tricks to getting it running with all the other software needed for running a multi-touch table).
